I've been drawing on wood again. A bigger format than before at 8 inches, I'm still exploring these denser, looser drawings. ·

A small version of the year of the dog drawing I posted some time ago.

Perhaps one of the darker ideas with this series. I was thinking that the universe is trying to look at its own hands but has no way of seeing them.

Another one for the hexagon series.

A strange tentacled god that appears in my sketchbook dreams sometimes.

I like weird faces. This is Mister Plant Face.

Inspired by my cat Shiro. But with no tail and wearing a mask.

A birch plywood hexagon. Painted by hand. I wonder about the masks we wear.

Part of a series of black and white drawings on birch plywood. I took some liberties with horns and the look of the face. Don't consider this a realistic bison.

The background is made out of an old notebook I cut up and glued with modpodge. My obsession with hands continues.

I found an old book of sheet music. I think it makes for a nice background. The marks are simple here but I like the overall big gestures.
