A small and quick sketch for Saturday, drawn entirely on the tablet. The drawing took maybe 15 minutes, and then I spent another 10-15 colouring and cleaning it up. I've been working on a few larger projects lately and needed to do something easy and lighthearted.

Wanted to try out that "toonme" challenge I've been seeing show up on social media. It was a fun and quick experiment!

First completed work of the year! This one is a gift for my husband of his Guild Wars 2 Charr, the Guardian Sergeant Shadu. This is my first time drawing Charr and they have teeth everywhere. xD It got easier when I realized the face reminds me of the dragons of the Eastern dragons of folklore. This may be the first time I have worked on armour, too... didn't turn out too badly if I do say so myself.

I play The Sims 4 a lot, and have been a fan of the franchise since the original Sims game. It might be a bit of an obsession. (Spoiler: It definitely is.) One thing I never did, though, was create fanart for the series. Until now... I have an adorable fourth generation half-alien human hybrid, named Izola Chevron. Her adorableness has inspired me to create sort of a "profile card" for her. She's missing a trait, as she's not yet a young adult, but that will get filled in later. This was a fun exercise. I may need to attempt a couple more, for good measure.

2D digital drawing Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon, in her Eternal transformation. This is the most elaborate and complex artwork I have done in years... and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

A sketch done at college, worked on periodically during the course of one day. When I finally took a good look at it I found I really liked the outcome. I want to eventually paint a version of this digitally, as well. Ink on paper.

Digital painting practice. I seem to default to trees when I don't have a reference.

The last time I created a "real" self portrait was likely back in 2000, as an assignment for art class. It was strange creating this one, aiming for (somewhat stylized) accuracy. Created using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and with photo reference.
