A little exercise in my sketchbook to create a non-narrative comic. Just graphite, digitally colored.

I was up visiting Coolangadah and found this house across from the beach. There was also a picnic table, so perfect time to draw.

Pastel pencil study of the intertwined hands of the Ambrogio Borghi sculpture, Chioma di Berenice. Faber Castell pastel pencils, Black and White Generals charcoal pencils on 9” x 12” Strathmore Toned Grey sketchbook paper.

A bit of a departure from my usual style. I wanted to try something a bit messy, fast, and loose. The scene is an ancient woodland in Pembrokeshire called Tŷ Canol, an atmospheric place and full of inspiration for artworks. Pen and watercolour in Seawhite sketchbook.

Micron pen and sumi ink. I used the watercolor technique with salt but subbed in the sumi ink instead of watercolor.

Just some disparate doodles created during February 2021, using multiple black ink biros and some HB graphite pencil for toning.

Gourd-face started out as a tiny doodle in my sketchbook but I couldn't stop thinking about him. So I drew several gourd-faces. This one has the unfortunate circumstance of growing on his face. Poor Gourdy. I drew him with pencil and then colored on the computer. Cheers!

I actually saw this on a walk one day...minus the dragon. A new tree was growing from the center of a stump. Nature is awesome.

Super bright doodles

Pen and watercolour in an old sketchbook. From a few years ago, but still has meaning for me. A consistent theme, animals and women.

I’ve started to feed a couple of strays in my area. Some have clearly been on the streets their whole lives, look very unwell, and have not been spayed/neutered. I wish I could take them all in and get them over to see a vet. Sketchbooking today, just moved and am unpacking.
