A great deal of upheaval in my personal life, including making steps to better my mental health as well as reflecting on changes in my work life (potentially) and also my living situation, have dominated my headspace as of late.
Long story short, Buddha reminding us all to still any madness in life got me to work here as did the obvious itch to get some drawing done!
One last drawing before 2021 draws to a close...
There may come a day when I don’t get inspiration from Wings Of Desire, but today’s not one of them (tomorrow’s not looking good either), hehehe. Happy new year when it comes my friends!

One day I was flipping through Frrank frazetta art book I had and one of his painting inspired me, so I close the book and started to draw and this image came about. As far as things that I can’t seem to shake off are concerned, it’s this fact that a place like Edinburgh where I live is akin to a village where everyone (artist folk in particular) seems to know everyone, and the patterns or quirks that emerge from this said thought process. In most collectives I’m a part of and/or are associated with, there’s what seems like an endless sense of crossover and overlap with fellow artists etc for lack of better words, which is lovely as it is insane... you know? All in all though, even if it drives me mad it does so in a strangely positive way and I’ve learned to live with that. So yeah, make of that what you will. :-)
Phew! What a fortnight it's been here. Been engaging more in my photography as of late, but the day-job's had me on 'go' mode all Easter quite frankly. Thank the maker for those moments to yourself when you can just.. well, indulge really.
I've been working on portraits so much that it's taken up most of my drawing time. I miss the simpler things like trees and mountains so today at lunch I drew this tree.
