love the go with the flow doodle mentality. I call it "Randomness". It's a great practice to help you start and gives a great feeling of complete freedom, and that's what doodlin' for me mostly is about. I sometimes use this randomness to create peace of mind, new ideas, creative flow, clearity, vision, dreams or great art! :)

An illustrated poem I did as part of my drive to learn Korean. I did this, along with 40 plus other illustrated poems, in my notebook. Here is an English translation of the poem: : High Pine Close to the brook I'm looking at a high pine High pine I want to talk to you Many questions I have How many people have you seen? How many sunny days have you seen? How many rainy days have you seen? How many people's voices have you heard? How many birds' songs have you heard? High pine can you hear me? Just a sort of character idea sketch/doodle.

I have a little Moleskine (3.5 x 5.5) notebook that I only draw skulls in. I started in November of 2013 and I do one whenever the urge strikes me. It's not like a skull-a-day thing but sometimes I do get into a period where I will draw one every day for a while then I won't draw any for months. I even lost it for a while and was very sad. I think the longest gap between pages has been a year. This is the most recent skull, drawn on 05.28.2018. Most of them are posted on my Instagram but you have to scroll back a ways to get at the bulk of them.

Inspired by ink flow in water and translated into doodle lines. Line, after line, after line.

Gouache and ink doodle

I found a Gap ad in a 90s Vanity Fair magazine; the background was completely white, perfect for doodling a background on it. I also highlighted the woman's freckles and lips with a bronze Sharpie.

I was skimming through a 1990s Vanity Fair magazine and found a sweater ad. It was a perfect shot to intervene it with doodles! Now it looks like a very Christmas-y sweater, perfect for sitting in your favourite sofa and drinking a cup of hot cocoa.

This is old (2007). I used to work at the ad agency that had the Harley-Davidson account for a number of years. I always carry around a Moleskine sketchbook and take meeting notes on one side while doodling on the page next to it. This doodle ended up being used extensively in the Harley-Davidson "Dark Custom" campaign as well as on a line of Dark Custom Motorclothes. It say's "FUCK YEAH" in it and they never noticed. :)

of. Malaysian delights: Ais Kacang, Cendol and traditional ice shaving machine :) Ais kacang literally mean “Bean ice” also commonly known as ABC. Which cendol, the brother (or maybe sister) of ice kacang is an iced sweet dessert that contains droplets of worm-like green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
