I really like sketching. Many of the sketches are really good - funny, cute, or just for my universe. But I never posted them, believing that only full-fledged completed works are worthy of social networks. Today I drew this sad and sweet canvas at the same time. I think it's not very easy to understand what kind of characters are depicted and what kind of situation they are in.. Therefore, I decided to start translating my sketch comics into English and upload them to a special gallery on DA. What about this particular canvas?.. well.. That's how I feel. Ladies and Gents, I present....Slater! My newest character that I brought back to life. Although this was not his original design, but I think I dig it. Slater is an alien species (species not identified yet) so therefore hence why his ears look like that. Slater is charismatic, sly, generally laid back but unfortunately a womanizer. But there is one....one who is constantly rejecting him and keeping him at arms length. She will be introduced at a later time, I'm still working on her design. I have so many plans for this guy.
I really love this one and feel proud of it as well. The song lyrics are from Cheek to Cheek by Ella Fitzgerald. I tried out different brushes and I had a lot of fun with the effects. I hope you enjoy it as well!
