We've all had times when the Coronavirus Quarantine Lockdown Insanity drove us to pour our emotions into our artwork. I mean, that's what we do, as artists! "Pensive Mother" was the first piece, created when I was feeling super low, lonely (despite my husband and daughter being home and well) - and scared for my daughter's (and the world's) future. After posting the image in a few Facebook groups, and people falling in love with her, the next day I created "Joyful Day". It was the emotion created with these pieces that guided their development. And I couldn't have asked for a better result!
It’s always good to find some drawing time on vacation. We went to some weird random small towns in Washington and a ghost town called Burke with some particularly interesting history. I had Cheers playing on my phone while I drew this but no similarity is intended. It’s a classic show but it would have been better without the distracting laugh tracks.
These horses were so much fun to draw. I used a Uni Posca marker with Daniel Smith watercolors. I was going to a craft fair and wanted to try out making stickers with Sticker Mule. It is a super easy process. The sticker is 1 inch in diameter.
Australian author mbpardy & I have a children's book coming out soon called "Graham's Up the Tree." This illustration from the book makes a good countdown to release.
"The Explorers" 14ft tall by 48ft long mural painting in Vienna, Austria alongside my friend Dead Beat Hero this past weekend. His comic book style robot characters emerging from the river into my crazy cartoon world.

I took a portrait collage course, and this is my first project. Fidelia Bridges painted incredible watercolors and landscapes, and the instructor assigned her as the subject.
There are practice excercises on Youtube for the sketchbook app. It was just for the flower, which
I didn't quite get it right and I changed the background and added the bee. I am actually proud of the bee. That's breakfast.
