The theme was 'tension' in which we had to create a work of art using brown paper bags. The hair is made of the brown paper bags to give it depth and texture. The drawing was created on brown paper with white pen highlights.
The second set of pages from my trip to China last summer. Spent time in Beijing and Hong Kong and hiking/camping out on a portion the Great Wall. Truly amazing.
I went to Europe in 2012 and visited Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, and Greece. I loved the architecture that I saw in these countries, but I found the architectural style of the houses in Germany and Switzerland particularly charming.
About a year ago I became paralyzed after a fall and began my "wheelchair series" which became a cathartic release of my journey in this new body of mine. Also, crayons are seriously underrated.
Doodles and notes I started at a regional NJ chapter of SCBWI conference this past weekend. Then just kept adding stuff to the page this week. I learned a lot and met some great people. Looking forward to June!
