I do hyper-perfectionist production art for medical and scientific data. To keep my sanity, I always tote around a sketchbook, a fountain pen, and markers to draw people and things here in Washington, DC. I sketch on the trains, streets, and cafes, always getting strange looks from people because artists apparently belong in the creative environs of New York City and not the politically-charged battlezones of Washington, DC. Oh well; have sketchbook, will draw.
