Color + mockup of where i'll go next with this tiled drawing that is taking longer than anticipated

This is one of the patterns found in the Esrefoglu Mosque in Beysehir, Turkey from 1297 CE. according to Eric Broug (see: "Islamic Geometric Patterns", E. Broug, 2008, p.37). Now that I have the guide lines in place, up next I'll be erasing them and coloring in the pattern shown here. I think I am going to go with green, blue, purple, and yellow. More to come!

Starting with the tesseract shape from yesterday i branched off in a square/octagon tile pattern, drawing in progress dot grid paper + micron

Tesseract is four dimensional hypercube and you can easily draw its projection. I found the 2 step method last night when I was transcribing my notes for the 6 step method. The 6 step method is more fun but the 2 step method is easier to remember

I enjoy drawing building-like structures almost as much as tiled shapes
