The dogs finished off the Greenies yesterday, so I made use of the box. I was throwing it in the recycle bin when I thought about tentacles coming out of it.

View from balcony - pen on cardboard I'm a newcomer to DoodleAddicts and their challenges, so I thought I'd start with a 'draw what you see' approach. And looking out of my balcony, this is what I see.

During quarantine a pheasant wandered into our garden and very unluckily for her our (mixed hound) dog catched the bird, killing her instantly. I wanted to include that story in a way in one of my drawings, so I thought this would be a good chance.

This happy pup is made with collage materials, pencils, watercolor and water-soluble pastel sticks on a cardboard twelve-pack container.

I used cardboard snack box cutouts to create this hyperrealistic portrait of my cat, Beemo, and what he often says to me. Cats and snacks - two words that best sum up my experience in quarantine.

I just went on, took on the pencil last minute and what first came to my mind was this: the queen of color. The experience of drawing with different techniques was very soothing and relaxing, and cardboard ended up handling the paint quite well, which was a nice surprise. Truly enjoyed the #CardboardChallenge

“Here’s Johnny!” This is my 80s throwback piece from The Shining. It’s oil pastel on coardboard, and it was super fun to do. I wanted to get a 3D look with this 2D medium!

I was at a Gorillaz concert and there was this giant diamond spinning around and there was quite a few wacky characters walking about the crowd and I was really inspired and when I got home I drew this.

Been saving cardboard boxes opened out for drawing. This one was linguine. I started out with the wonderful Danny Gregory's "Draw with me" doing the mug shot on the left, then I just kept going . At the same time, I was following the also wonderful Carla Sonheim for a week of only using ballpoint pen. It came together to make this. Had fun feeling less isolated.

Paper Faces - ripped up Amazon box fragments photographed and then imported into Procreate.

this is one of the card "creatures" i made for my 1.5 years old grandson and presented him via video conversations. the head and tail rotate thanks to colored pencils working lile pivots, and actioned from the cow's back. huge success.

“Owl Landing” illustrates an owl landing on a gate at sunset. The piece is entirely made of cardboard, each element was painted with acrylic paint in order to help distinguish each area of the piece. The owl carries a couple layers of cardboard in order to make it pop out. The bush uses a special packaging paper that little holes in it to create the effect of bushes. The gate was made with a 1” inch thick cardboard bar to give the illusion that it is right there in front of the viewer. As for the flower pedals, it was created with leftover cardboard, I cut it up and altered its appearance to make it look different while the stem used was plain packaging paper.

Made a rocket ship for my sons toys. Used a Pringle’s can and printer box I had for awhile. When I was little I use to use comet cleaner containers and make elevators for my toys. Wish I could upload more than one to show it off better. It turned out really cool. The most important thing to me is spending time with my kids. They are everything to me. And I hope everyday to show them that. Take time to spend with your kids, they’ll appreciate it more then you’ll ever know.

Decided to repurpose some recycling and painted this bird sunset piece on cardboard with acrylic paints. Reminds me that spring is here and summer is around the corner.

Since I've been staying at home, I've been going through my old things like comic books and Comic Con program books. I found a kind of rekindling for the earliest forms of art that I fell in love with and once I started cutting the cardboard the shapes of Batman & Joker started to form.

This piece is a play on monochrome and social politics, the "chessboard" as we see here is representative of social injustices by using colour and symbolism. Painted with poster colors on cardboard, this piece is inspired by both geometric and non-metric styles of design.

Inspired by my two house bunnies that are always up to some kind of mischief.

I decided to draw a Geisha and i used 2 pens.

This is a portrait of a generic person - I was wondering how I could use the cardboard in different way to just drawing on it. I used a craft knife to remove the outer layer of paper on the cardboard - I hope you like it!!

A visit to the Getty Museum. Just the scenery itself, the trees, the rocks, the leaves, and all the crevices in between. The beauty deep inside each object, diverse and simple mashed together.

I used uni Posca paint pen on cardboard.
