Once upon a time, there was a girl with pencils for fingers. At first she felt like she didn't much fit in with the rest of the world, but as she grew she realised that really it was the greatest gift. She spends most of her time sick with a smile, mind vomiting imaginary worlds from her studio in Herefordshire. In her bag you will always find at least one sketchbook and a minimum of 5 pens. She is a prolific doodler. Drawings become abstract diaries of events, imaginary places and beings. Ambiguous and yet somehow familiar. Every marked piece of paper has a significance, be it a receipt/napkin/train ticket. She is inspired constantly by little pieces of the past, characters she has met and things people have said. She is driven by an intense curiosity about human culture, psyche and biology. To be continued..
