I am an artist currently living in Seattle. I grew up in Tacoma , Wa where I learned my love of faces. I love to draw expressions. I guess that is what brought me to doing clusters of faces. I like to tow the line between happy and creepy. In my work there is enough different expressions so that the viewer can hone in on which ever one speaks to them at the time. I also paint in a non-representational style. With that style I like to focus on color, form , and composition. I use watercolor for that style because I really enjoy the organic feeling of that medium. With my non-rep work I like there to be a sense that my hand was not the only thing that made the piece. I want to show that the forces of nature also play a roll in that work. I work in both styles at the same time. When I get bored in one I switch to the other. I am trying to build a body of work with both styles. Check out my website or flickr page to see examples of my work.
